Sharpening sight and hearing made for an increasingly curious pup, who was quickly transforming from that endearing blob shape into something better resembling a miniature wolf. It would be some days still before his ears really formed those distinct points, but his silhouette was looking more and more canine by the day, and with it, his activity levels rose.

Today he was utilizing his eyes, focused intently on a tiny brown pillbug inching across the floor. Sobo couldn't explain the quaver in his heart at the sight of it if he tried. He tracked it with his gaze, feeling more and more aflutter the closer it came, until it was a mere inch from his paw. Too close, too close!

Waaaah! cried Sobo, rearing back onto his four feet and wobbling in place for a second while he tried to work out how to escape that disgusting thing. Then he lost his balance and fell directly onto it, prompting him to wail at the top of his lungs from sheer fright.
