the girl, morgra, appears to be joyed by his, admittedly rare, playful streak. but ingram recognizes she is but a child: innocent in the ways of the world and play was enriching for her. too soon, she would cease playing as her childhood melted away with the turning of the seasons. he moves to another puddle, making a smaller splash in it, seaglass gaze trailing to morgra to watch what she might do next.
