"Yeah?" Who was she? To look at him like that? With her stupid face, and even more stupid-- God, everything was blurry. He couldn't see straight. The man could not sit still upon his legs, and when he saw her, his entire body leaned to one side. It would correct itself, then do it once more again. Like a tyrant that just would not keel over and die.

The mans mind was numb. He wondered how long he could listen to her speak before there were no words to be processed at all. It was also beyond him why he had chosen to stop in place, to now look upon her with matted fur. Ill, deranged, he must have been rabid. A bleeding out animal.

"Ain't there yet," came sputtered out of his bleeding, salivating mouth. Or maybe that was just her blood. Whatever he was tasting, he'd long stopped caring about. Couldn't care about much. Just the way in which his world was spinning, and how he felt like he would hit the ground at any moment.

Just keep talking. If he stared at her long enough, she'd keep talking.

What a pathetic, desperate thing, to want someone to keep talking.
