Dawnlark Plains Don't Accept the Truth

Sofi nodded at the thought. Luck was exactly what she needed right about now. The likelihood of surviving the winter was quickly diminishing. Her bones were weak. Her heart was tired. Yet it was moments and encounters like these that pushed her to go on. This might have been the last peaceful moment Sofi would have in her life. Winter had a way of extinguishing the frail.

"Thanks for the tip," she said, making a serious note to avoid all wolf-smelling territories. It was not always easy, as sometimes even neutral areas smelled of wolves.

"Okay," she agreed, knowing that she would miss the ability to talk freely with another. This new world was not full of listeners. "Nice meeting you!" Sofi called out politely as they both turned to return to their separate worlds. Once more, her search for food would begin.

She frowned.
