With his diagnosis revealed, Rannoch looked at Liffey with shock, as if he couldn't believe his ears. But, despite this, Rannoch continued as his eyes settled upon her beautiful face. "Well, maybe if you can't save me, then I don't want to fix it," he decided with a wave of his tail. 

They continued their topic of Rannoch's condition until the sun shone once again. Once tired, the pair then set off with a promise to see each other again and Rannoch left that interaction with his heart full.
