Otter Creek Do unto others

The edges of the creek were frozen, but Kaevo could hear the soft rush of water in the current bellow  the  ice. Despite the winter chill there seemed to be plenty of life here. She knew what an otter was, although she had never seen one with her own eyes. They darted along the bank, occasionally dipping their paws into the icy water in search of the trout hiding  beneath, totally unaware of the dark predator watching  them. They were so fat, and so full of energy, that Kaevo was half jealous of them and half longing to sink her fangs  into the fatty flesh. They were cute creatures, but they also looked delicious.

With a soft sigh Kaevo flopped onto  her belly, big paws outstretched. Her mind whirled with plans  as she tried to determine the best  way to capture one of the slippery ,  adorable  creatures. Her stomach rumbled in longing.
