"they are good friends to have. they'll remember you, in good times and in bad." her eyes lifted to the trees, watching the birds. she had never felt a particular kinship with the winged creatures--she preferred the foxes, the bears--but there was merit in every living thing.

Tahani rose to her paws, stretching a little. she had kept herself busy, and tired alongside that. nevertheless, her gaze shone with a fervent excitement as she stared down at her nephew. "want to play a game?" she asked, cocking her head. she had seen some makeshift toys, nearby. . .
