Cedar Sweep pass the wasabi

Bat very nearly pouted when Llewellyn insisted on going with Tegan, who quickly accepted. She felt suddenly left out and she didn't like it. But just one look at her mentor was enough for Bat to resign herself to her fate as a northbound scout following a hawk with a beak full of fur. She sighed (on the inside) and nodded at Tegan's instruction. She even managed a smile at his nudge, which she returned.

"See you back home," was all she really said, watching as the two older males paired up and set off toward these Blackfeathers. Bat stood there a while, mind racing. She wanted to know more about this war. Why had no one mentioned this before? Shaking her head, she eventually remembered the hawk waiting patiently nearby.

"I'm ready, uh, if you are," she said awkwardly to the bird. He appeared to understand her because he nodded and then swooped into the air. Bat gaped at him for a while before remembering to start moving.
