Despite the massive hit she was able to force upon him, he was able to writhe from beneath her and pull himself back onto all fours.  The air had been punched from his lungs but he still surged forwards in an attempt to disorient her and throw her off her game.  Eyes narrowed to protect, he kept his position low and aimed from below to seek hold onto her neck.
