Phoenix Maplewood oh she dreams

The beast had crossed the river, safely and almost dryly. She now prowled towards where she last knew of a pack, easily accessible and easily toyed with. The trees were her advantage.
However, she smelt the fading scent of the wolves; long gone. Her quarry had moved on as if they sensed her approaching malice.   
Oh well, she could still catch something, hopefully.

She moved into the hunting ground, scouting a place to roost for a while as she waited for something to pass under her. Something to satisfy the hunger in her.
As the hours dragged on and the chill picked up with a soft sprinkling of snow, she grew bored. Now she had two types of hunger to comply with.
More actively now, Lischo dropped from her tree to hunt, anything would do.

Silently, she moved. Her tail swiped the frigid air and her great paws dented the snow. Little did she know, a wolf was following up behind her.
