The snow fell—a constant curtain of white as the wind swept past. The darkness had fallen over the creek, blanketing it further in silence.

Constantine was growing tired of silence. He had been silent when Aria had stepped down from Donnelaith as it’s Alpha, both of them turning the reins to Deirdre. A fire had ravaged his family and home when he had remained silent at joining Moonspear. He had remained silent, quietly gathering members for Ravensblood Forest, before moving his mate and growing family to the Creek, upon request.

He had been silent under accusations. He had been silent as he watched the numbers of his pack dwindle.

The time for silence was over. The mass of ebony fur remained by the edge of the creek, his eyes studying the rushing waters that refused to freeze—refused to bend to the whims of winters rules.

He was done bending as well.
all you have is your fire
