she seems to welcome his touch, mirroring his own nervousness for a moment. it seems, though, that she is bolder than he; the feeling of her tongue against his ear surprises him a little, sending a shiver down his spine. he hesitates only half a beat as she brings her body alongside his, trailing his muzzle along the back of her neck and combing his teeth through the fur there. though he thinks he knows where this might be going (and has conveniently forgotten to consider things like consequences just now), he remains uncertain, unwilling to advance any further without explicit permission. too bad he can't exactly ask. he simply continues his affection instead, waiting for her to prompt more from him — or push him away.
