derg. it seems too simple a name for the man who has ensnared him so easily, yet fitting. he presses his muzzle to the other's shoulder as he steps into the cavern beside him, nipping him gently before he moves forward to investigate further. whatever had inhabited the place seems absent now, though the possibility of its return is a slightly uncomfortable thought. but two wolves are no small threat, he knows; surely they can get through a single night undisturbed. when he's certain there won't be any unwelcome distractions, he turns to face derg, stepping forward to kiss his cheek lightly before settling on the cavern floor. he considers speaking, but thinks better of it after a moment; part of him can't help but be afraid of ruining whatever connection has started to form between them.
