All Welcome
The pale fae withdrew with a startled gasp, recoiling with a flutter of yellow celandine buttercups trailing from her lips. The northron danced back a few steps skittishly, watching with fearful dark eyes as the coils of an argent serpent writhed and glinted in the sunlight.

The healer shifted on her paws, nose preening delicately to the air to sniff curiously in the snake's direction - as if to decide whether or not it was safe to dash forward and snatch her gathered herbs before fleeing.

The serpent had seemed just as startled as she; its silver head rose to peer at her in return with two tiny black chunks of onyx. It was a harmless variety that the woman was more than happy to let be, so long as she fled unscathed.

Before the blanchard could move to grab her plants and escape, the groundsnake slithered from its place beneath the bushes - winding its way rapidly across the forest floor to curl around one ivory foreleg like a strange anklet.

"Umm.." She squeaked softly in surprise, freezing in place lest she startle the ophidian into biting her.

The scarred waif twisted her head around to gaze at the snake in wonder and apprehension - her fear evaporating at the familiarity of the reptile's weight.

She needn't fear a fanged bite - though she no longer recognized Nayethi, it was clear the snake was intended to be her familiar.
"i'll keep you here when I lose my mind."
