Liffey devised a plan, and Rannoch nodded in reply. "Yeah, I can do that for us," he replied brightly; it'd be good for him to have some time to himself to digest their conversation. "You want to meet at the lake? I'm thinking that's the general area where I'll be," Liffey agreed, and their plan was set. 

Once on his paws, Rannoch leaned down to kiss Liffey's forehead. "I'll see you soon," he promised. Then, without another word, Rannoch turned from his wife and headed in the direction of the lake, feeling much more cumbersome than he had moments prior; Rannoch wasn't looking forward to returning to Lost Creek Hollow one last time.
