"Yeah... you've got a good point. That was probably the easiest move I've been a part of," Rannoch replied with an amused snort; his concern had been futile, as their move from the plateau to the glad had gone smoothly. "I just had to make sure," he amended, his spirits bright. 

Rannoch's attention to their conversation was displaced as he watched the squirrel vanish into the tangle of the underbrush, and once it was out of sight, he turned to Raven again. "Yeah, I don't think that anybody saw this coming," he sure hadn't. "It's weird how things happen sometimes, isn't it?"
