Although she knew of Kiwi's intentions prior, she still didn't like hearing it all that well. She could do little more that hard-line her expression and withhold the knee-jerk remark she had on her tongue. Opalia could make no return claim of her own, after all. Maybe if pressed, Dacio may have similar ambitions she would much rather support. Kiwi's just didn't inspire great confidence in her yet, or ever before; she had her perceptions of the fellow born Dragedan colored by her abrupt and tasteless leave, and her mother's as well--so two heavy strikes against her that she intended to hold well before she would follow her as some true leader of anything, let alone the cliffs.

As for Opalia, all by herself right here and now, she just frowned at it first. I know.. she replied, though kept the sigh to go with it short. Is that all of why you're here, to help claim it for her? she asked, sniffing again his way with a hint of disdain on her tonuge. Was he really alone, then? If really was meant to do that so soon.. and if so, that kind of raised a lurking uneasiness in her. If he was, he had worse concerns than just her when the cove pack got wind. Since they had eventually whittled Drageda's patience down enough, some small, freshly-forming group hardly stood an earnest chance.

But his next words tilted her head. He was unimpressed, then? Although she disagreed, she was determined not to show it--knowing sentiment was half her motivation even now. Maybe this poorly opinion would bode well for keeping Kiwi's claim away, or as weak as it was bound to be without good supports. The Drakru glanced past this lone warrior, towards the waves, but quickly back again to be sure to keep eyes on him. What did you expect to find here then? she asked, wondering immediately what Kiwi had told him about it. It was everything she had remembered, just vacant, lonesome; it no longer emanated with the familiar strength it had when it had been a fortress all of their own. Now it was just cliffs, a forest.. and few even knew the worth to her--and she didn't want them to, not if they were going to be a threat to the proper order here like this.

Rankled, but delicately attempting to contain any and all expression of it, she wasn't about to paint him any favors. If Kiwi's supposed warrior wasn't committed to the place, then that was her loss, and if she could, she may as well.
