Ouroboros Spine vii. for each others' warmth

Lótë glanced up with a muffled flinch from the rusted hue, not having noticed his approach until the gentle sound reached her ears. Familiarity settled itself briefly upon the shifting sand of her features, a smile hinting at her lips as she welcomed the hoarfrost hunter with the tempo of her tail beating against the earth. Silently, she wondered if it would become common for Adrastus to find her at her dwelling. 

"Adrastus," the morning dove greeted him by name, paws stilling as she gave a small shake of her fallow peltage to rid it of clinging moisture from the tree tops. "Do the spirits find you well?"
