The trip was long.
Yet Dagur figured he could play both sides as long as he always returned with something for the other. The Big Man could always use more information and The Big Woman liked food.
So when he found her, it was with a hare in his jaws. Thick and fat, poached from a better hunter than him.
He was quick to toss it towards her and then hunkered low.
Like he awaited a thunderstorm.
