all welcome but I know I owe @Steady a thread :D
Phiipa was still sticking more to the outskirts of the territory, getting to know it before moving in. The girl was really excited about this new home. Everyone she'd met so far had been so nice. She went through all the names she'd learned so far in her head, placing them with faces so that she wouldn't forget, because the girl really hated forgetting things. She paused when she reached a small wooded area, an area she definitely hadn't seen before. Actual groves of trees seemed to be a rarity among the meadows of Easthollow.
With a cheerful purr she raced into the forest, weaving playfully between the trees. She missed having forests to run in, and she sometimes thought about returning to Derian Rise. But those days were behind her. She was living a new life now, and Easthollow certainly seemed a good enough place to start. After a while of running, the girl got tired and plopped herself down under a bare leafed maple. She knew winter was coming to an end, but still she could hardly wait to see the pale green buds returning to the trees, and the yellow of dandelions before they turned to fluff.

Akuti caught wind of another wolf nearby, so she decided to abandon her purple ladies for a moment in hopes of meeting another packmate. As she approached the sprawled sylph, she gave a high-pitched bark of greeting and allowed her tiny nub to begin a quick wag behind her.
Hello there, she called,
Relaxing a bit?Akuti sat back on her haunches and tilted her head a bit to the side, examining the other femme. She was at least twice her size, though something about her demeanor told Akuti that she was in about as much danger as a pup at its mother's side.

Phiipa looked up, ears perked when she heard another's voice, a friendly one at that. She smiled politely when she saw the other woman, and was quite surprised as well. Never had Phiipa met another full grown wolf who was smaller than her! How cute this little female was. Of course she'd never say that to her face, for that could be considered rude. She dipped her head in respect, and let her golden tail swish happily behind her.
Then straightening her posture, she added.
Yes. I just went for a run, and needed to take a break. She hummed.
Then straightening her posture, she added.
I'm sorry, I'm new here and I don't know your name. Mine is Phiipa.

Akuti's bob didn't settle its rough wag, despite the slight ache it caused. Phiipa; it was a nice name, she thought.

I like that. My name is Akuti. She could tell by the other woman's expression that she was thinking the same thing every wolf did upon their first time meeting Akuti, though because the words never escaped Phiipa's mouth, she chose not to speak on it.
I'm new, too. Not new, really, but newer. Have you met anyone else? Her head took on a more slanted position, showing her curious motivation behind the inquiry.

Phiipa liked Akuti, she was very nice, and seemed genuinely friendly. Just like everyone else in this pack.
I like yours as well. She returned with a smile, and she honestly did like the name. Akuti then asked another question, and stated that she was new herself. She must've been one of the 'many new recruits' that Krypton and Valette had been talking about at the border. She nodded her head and answered with an enthusiastic,
Mhm. Yes I've met four others but apparently there are many more.
I've met the alpha Valette, I've met Krypton, Mara and the mute male. Everyone here seems very easy to get along with, I'm lucky to have found this pack.

It seems like there's always someone new to meet around here.Akuti laughed lightly, though there was definitely an ounce of truth behind her words. It seemed that in the days since her joining Easthollow, the new recruits were pouring into the borders. Not that she much minded; she'd always had a knack for building bonds.
Do you have any trades? Or thought about pursuing any? I'm trying to become a hunter and a caregiver, but I know it's not for everyone.Maybe if Phiipa was interested, the two could have a mini hunt!

Phiipa found that she liked Akuti, and she definitely agreed with her statement. She'd only been here almost a week and she'd already met 5 others. Akuti asked if Phiipa was pursuing any trades, and the girl nodded.
Yes I am. I would love to be a caregiver as well, but mostly I want to be a chronicler. I've always enjoyed stories, and history, and I'd love to pass on what I know to future generations. She said with a glint of pride in her golden eyes.
Since we are both aspiring caregivers, maybe you would like to help me search for some herbs? I don't know if you are hoping to be a healer within the trade, but I could use some help stocking up.She asked, her tail thumping lightly. She wouldn't mind if Akuti declined, she could always go scour the new territory some other time. And if Akuti didn't want to search for herbs, maybe that hunt would be a better idea.

I would like that!Akuti was always looking for an excuse to spend time ankles deep in pollen and weeds, for it was then that she felt the most at home.
I found a lavender patch on the eastern side of the territory a few days after joining. I call 'em my purple ladies. Maybe we could start looking over on that side, since there seems to be a lot to find. She could remember plainly seeing quite a variety of possibly healing herbs near her ladies, though she'd been admittedly to fixated on the lavender to explore anything else.
I can lead if you care to follow.

Phiipa smiled as Akuti agreed, interested in the purple ladies that Akuti spoke of. Phiipa was glad to see someone else in the pack shared her interest in flowers and herbs, and from Akuti's excited reaction, her enthusiasm as well.
That sounds lovely! Thank you very much! She dipped her head as a sign of gratitude and respect, then she stood. After a quick shake from head to toe, the young girl turned to her new friend and stepped behind her, ushering for the other to lead the way.

Akuti was glad that Phiipa agreed to the proposition of a walk through the territory, and set off almost immediately. Her pace was a bit more than a jog, though it was nothing that the other couldn't keep up with should she move at a brisk speed. Her tail kept a constant wagging, though it looked quite idiotic, having nothing more than a stub in its wake.
