Valentine stood knee-deep in the sea. He held a fish, that of which still twisted about within his jaws.
He was getting better at fishing. A strange admission seeing he was a seawolf through and through. Alas, skills tend to diminish when not put to practice. He hadn’t many opportunities to do this while off traveling about.
And so the seasman was pleased with his progress. It was shown clearly with a smile and proud gait towards the shore.

fresh from her encounter with the older man, yakone headed toward the coast. she wondered if she might see any of the other men she'd met so far. but when she saw valentine holding a fish, she almost didn't recognize him at first. then she remembered, and let loose a bark of recognition before darting toward him with an infectious excitement.

His rhythmic step turns jovial when he realized he was not the only one on this shore, even more so when they seemed not to be a threat. And a smile could not help but creep it’s way up his maw when he recognized that ivory fur and bleeding heart.
Peony! Her excitement was indeed infectious. Valentine’s tail swayed like a banner in the wind and he fell into a brisk trot. And when the distance had been closed he dropped his catch. The fishy smell that had overwhelmed his nostrils was replaced with something oh so sweet. All of his attention was placed on the mute woman so suddenly.
Whatever brings you so far down the coast?he questions with a sly smirk.
Have you missed me so much?

her tail waved happily as she greeted him with a few affectionate licks to his chin. she cocked her head to one side at his words, her gaze meaningful. i came here to see you, of course, her eyes seemed to say. why else? nevermind that she hadn't even thought about him specifically until he appeared before her.
