Boartusk Heights ever. never ever.

not a join, just a nosy visitor :)

Not far from the gatherings of trees came mountains. Heights, slopes, spires. All cloaked dark by the shadows of night.

Collections of scents clustered this place. Borders that seemed tended to were present like a flare in the night sky. He had no interest in aligning himself among them, but he did wish to investigate.

What kind of creatures had gathered here?

He stood a respectful distance away and tested the winds with his nose.

a stranger.

upon a slow approach, it was quickly learned that this was not a native resident; but a foreigner. 

squaring his shoulders, he grunted to claim their attention. 

he did not look like he spoke like the shadowed sentry. so basìlio did not bother.

Nothing was said when a man came upon him.

So Makan made no attempt to do anything other than stare.

The giant was not too remarkable beyond his height. So was it a collection of barbarians who lived among these heights?

He felt disappointment and only snorted.

he inched closer, a warning curve to his lip.

they spoke no words of what they wanted here, so why stay? 

with first a flash of his teeth, then sideways jerk of his muzzle, he ushered the stranger to leave.

He had done nothing to warrant such a response.

A snort was met with aggressive warning displays?

His disappointment only grew exponentially. These beasts were not curious in the slightest of those who came to their borders? It was not as if he had trespassed and needed to be ushered off at once.

He only crept along, but clearly was in no rush to leave despite the display given.

with no show of willingness to depart, irritation simmered to a boil.

he had no knowledge of what @Reyna would have wanted—but in this moment, he felt it only right to make assumptions. 

this man was only being a hindrance; nothing more. 

he needed to leave.

charging the man, he snapped his teeth as close as he could get without snagging flesh. 

that was all the warning he would be patient enough to give. the rest was worn too thin.

the queen is well aware of what occurs within the gothic alpines. she remains within the safety of her palace balcony, peering below.

crimson eyes capture a glimpse of basílio accosting a stranger, who seemed more troublesome than worth defending from her new guard dog. already, this newblood is proving himself useful — much to her enjoyment of course!

with that, she slinks back into her cave to tend to her children once more.

this is an exit unless pursued further.

Makan was not scared of this person of this place.

Only disappointed in how quick they were to be angered, to turn into a one track mind.

He would go and take the long way back to more familiar shadows.

it takes too long for them to understand. 

when they finally do, he watches with a sharp eye and a slow breath of relief. 

it was too early for him to spill blood in this place. even if he so desperately wanted to.
