Candle called to her kin as she parted from the ravine, carrying the few things they would bring with them. It pained her to leave this place behind — but the safety of her children mattered far more. The ones who lived now; the ones who were yet to come. So the priestess did not look back.@Zoug @Koa @Gaara @Brac @Chisa @Andanari
She did, however, look for her mate; her children; S'ari. They would follow, she knew, all of them, and this was a small comfort. She would lose none of her family, for now.

Andi held her own small bundle in her maw. Nothing major. Simply a few chew things. A bone from something she had caught. A nice rock. Some soft furs. A snake skin. She was unsure what was happening or why they were leaving exactly. She had not seen any threats recently. She smiled at those that followed.
But a weight pressed on her shoulders. Because the future was uncertain and that scared her.

they came in solemnity from the ravine.
those sandstone arches and the densites would remain theirs eternal. it had the stamp of tribe upon it, of clan.
this too, would be theirs.
single eye watched them file beyond. he would bring up the rear, strong body watchful for danger posed by following wolves.

The Daybreaker followed. He did not bring with him anything of personal possession, having not been the type to collect trinkets. He did however carry a few lizards in his jaws and half a snake, taken from a cache. He would leave nothing to the wolves, if he could help it.
They moved north ward. As they did so, he would begin to hear the falling of water. They had traveled past the land of snakes he and his dad had traveled to before. In the distance there was mist and green. The sound of water grew louder.
Whatever dread he might have felt of leaving home melted away as they came nearer still. The was a large pool of water, shrouded in mist and fed by a waterfall beyond, nestled in the cliffs of a high plateau. Gaara dropped his mouthful and trotted to the edge of the turquoise waters. After a few moments, his deep blue eyes tossed back to his parents.
It looked like they had moved from one desert paradise and to another. He had never in his life before seen a waterfall. What else did the sands have to show him?

Chisa followed her tribe, and her family. Her sister who she remained close to during the journey, also holding a small sack in her mouth. It contained the rattler tail from when she was a small babe, some snacks, a skull she painted with Zoug, and few other amenities.
She could sense weight upon her sister, “Andi, this one senses something, troubled?” Chisa would not press, but offered a listening ear.
