Blackfeather Woods we've been walking down this road for sometime

It hadn't been long since she'd joined the pack, Blackfeather Woods, somewhere way different than what Sab was accustomed to. She could see where the pack's name came from, as these woods were certainly black and gloomy, with the occasional shriek or caw of a raven or some bird that was as dark as these woods.

For now, she was in the process of looking for someplace to sleep and something to eat. Once she caught sight of a hare, the copper-eyed female immediately pounced, her claws finishing it off. Who knew? There was a possibility that this was the only hare around these woods at the moment.

From the trees, not far from Meldresi's den, little Cicero stood and watched the white wolf hunt. He held his breath as he watched her chase, run down and pounce a hare. The moment she caught it, Cicero could hold himself back no longer and started to excitedly yip, "Kill, kill, kill!" It did not take long for his thirst for death to be quenched, and the two months old child ran towards the white wolf and the hare.

Cicero sniffed the hare, while cautiously keeping his tail and head low, small tail wagging between his legs. "Deaded!" Cicero concluded, and he looked at the white wolf to see if she would confirm that he was correct.

Just as Sabrina was about to take a bite from the hare, a child's voice sounded from her side. The little dark bundle with the bright eyes ran up to her and began to yip excitedly, bouncing as he repeated the word "kill".

She withdrew her pale head from the hare and let the little boy inspect it before he lifted his head up to inquire if it was dead. Sab gave a firm little nod, her amused grin wide. "You like things dead, don't you, little guy?"

When the hare was dropped, Cicero bent his head down to sniff it. He licked at the place where some blood came out of it, though didn't do anything further with it; for now, he did not eat solid food yet, only regurgitated meat and his mother's milk.

The wolf said something that Cicero did not fully understand, but he translated it as 'like dead', which was pretty much the gist of what she had said, anyway. His little tail propellored excitedly as he said, "Sees!" He sat down on the ground next to the hare and the other wolf and queried, "What wolf?", while he looked up to her with his head tilted.

the child licked at it, and briefly sab wondered if he was to finish it whole within a second. it would be something new to play tug-of-war with a child, but it looked like it would happen some other time when cicero withdrew his small head from the food.

he plopped himself onto the forest floor and babbled something— baby talk, she was sure. look, even the children were into darkness and killing.

at the boy's query of her identity, she simply responded with "sabrina. i'm new here. and what's your name, 'lil guy? sees?"

Cicero did not know what to do with the prey, so he left it be for now. He looked at the wolf as she said 'Sabrina', which he assumed to be her name since he'd asked for it. "Saab," Cicero excitedly announced, and he looked at her to see if he'd said it right. He waited only a second before he propelled himself back into excitement and his tail wiggled happily, because Sabrina had repeated his name.

"Sees yah!" he babbled excitedly. "Sees-roh play toy!" Cicero got to his tiny feet and dashed over to the hare. He batted at it and grabbed an ear in his mouth. Letting go, he looked over to Sabrina and invited her to, "Saab play Seestoy?", before demonstratively grabbing the ear again and waiting for Sabrina to join in his game.

sabrina gave a nod of approval as the pup yipped her name, pronouncing only the first syllable. "you got it right!"

the little boy then scurried over to the hare and clamped his jaws over one of its battered ears before turning and looking up at her, requesting for her to join the game. she didn't have the heart to decline, even if she barely understood what the baby game was but still she leaned down and clamped her teeth around an ear before deciding to lift it up. it dangled in the air for a mere second before sab dropped it.

the crimson-eyed girl turned to the child. "correct?"

Yay!" Cicero said in response to Sabrina saying that he got the name right. He loved getting things right; but then, he loved most things in his short life, thus far.

Then Sabrina caught what he was trying to say in regards to the play, and she took the hare's other ear. "Rrrgrrr!" Cicero growled playfully while he pulled the ear, but Sabrina soon let go of it, which sent Cicero flying backwards from the impact.

Dazzled, he looked around. "What happen?" he asked and he looked up at Sabrina for information.

the playful puppy yipped, but cried and flew backward once she dropped the hare. "oops," she giggled. "not correct, i guess. sorry i dropped you, cis. again?"

sabrina picked the hare up by its ear and dangled it midair once more, trusting the boy to jump up to catch onto the other ear. hopefully she wouldn't send him flying for the second time, for she was sure what she was supposed to do now.

Instead of an answer, Sabrina giggled and said 'oops'. Cicero tilted his head while looking at Sabrina and then repeated this, giggling and saying "Saab oooops!" When she asked 'again?', he nodded his head and said "Yah 'gain!" Sabrina was first to grab an ear this time, and Cicero waddled up to the other ear and grabbed it in his mouth, ready to give the tug-o-war thing another try.

However, instead of trying this, Cicero decided to mimic what had been done to him, trying to make Sabrina trip this time. He took the ear in his teeth and started to tug, pretending like he was going to tug and put all his weight in it, until Sabrina also tugged on her side of the hare. Then he suddenly let go, hoping it would send Sabrina flying this time (though, because he was much smaller, it unlikely actually would); however, because of the strength he had put into tugging on the hare, Cicero once more sommersaulted backward and before he knew it, was dizzily laying on the ground with an "Oof!", unable to see if his scheme had even worked at all.

"Tiiiired!" Cicero cried out to Sabrina, and he let out a long yawn. "Sees sleeps!" And the boy started to waddle off to Meldresi's den, where he would take a long nap, tired from a good day's playing with one of the newer members of the pack.
