All Welcome
Forward dated a couple days or so!

A week had passed since Tavi's departure and Reek was still emotional despondent. His failed suicide attempt still rang clear in his head, and he found the memory of coming a hairs breadth to drowning constantly coming back to haunt him. The fear was so real. The loss, so painful. But ultimately, Reek's cowardice had won over his broken emotional state, and he was happy it did. It would have been a mistake to leave his pack behind like that. They still relied on him, and if Reek could no longer find the will to live for himself, he could carry on for them.

He could carry on for all the wolves he cared about: near or far.

Leaving early in the morning the day prior, Reek left the grotto under the pretense of searching for new recruits to refill the ranks, but he also had other intentions. He limped his way down the ridge he had called for Tavi before. It took him nearly two full days time to cross the span between the grotto and the Emberflame Ridge, but he scaled the overlook with a determination he hadn't felt in a very long time. Reek figured, if he was in the area, it wouldn't hurt to try and call again.

He sat down on his haunches and threw his ugly, scarred muzzle into the air and howled for @Tavi, wherever she may be.

Zephyr wasn't far from home this time, just sniffing around Emberflame Ridge. He'd come in his usual search of territory, but this one was not living up to what he'd hoped. It was too close to other borders to be of comfort, Marauders Keep specifically. He had no wish to settle close to Warbone, out of respect more so than anything, and was actually thankful that this place wasn't good for him. As he went off to scent for something else, however, his attention was drawn to a howl. It sounded sad, depressed, and broken: all the more reason for Zephyr to check it out. He trotted forward with his usual bouncy gait, scenting a male not far. He approached with caution, in case this wolf should retaliate, and came into sight of another black male. He was much thinner than Zephyr, and likely smaller, but that didn't mean a damn thing if it came to aggression. He hoped it didnt come to such things, preferring to make a new friend than to add an enemy.

Navigating the area inquisitively, Rain had been scouting the further area of the wilds. As a burst of wind blew behind her, it summoned her into a sprint, the thrill of sprinting fast through the wilderness filled her with adrenaline, as if nothing could stop her, she felt free and happy. It was short lived, as when leaping over a fallen trunk, she misjudged the jump and fell to the earth, her speed throwing her across the hard ground, and landing heavily on her paw.  Letting out a small squeal of pain, she tested the ground with her foot to see how much pressure it could withhold. As a dull pain only faintly echoed through her foot, she concluded it wasn't too serious and carried on, only in a brisk jog this time.

Minutes later, she came upon a familiar scent, it was Zephyrs from what she could gather, but another scent still lingered. It was familiar, but couldn't exactly put her paw on it. Her foot now aching painfully she decided it would be best to seek out her adoptive dad. Tracking him did not take long, finding him by a ridge talking to a another dark wolf. He looked familiar.
Limping towards him happily she began to greet him but something alarmed her.
'Hello, Zephy-.'
Stopping in her tracks, she stared at another wolf next to him. She now understood why he smelt so familiar.

It was Reek.
Her tail darted between her legs, ears back. Rain began to panic.
Letting out barks and yaps of fear, she headbutted Zephyr and hid into his chest, trying to push  him away. The memory of Reek's threat towards her as pup still haunted her. It had been so long since the incident, but she had never forgotten it. Peeking out slightly, she made eye contact with him once again. She gently muttered under breath, voice shaking.
'Please don't let him hurt me.'

OCC:
Oh snap! How will Reek react to this reunion?
Btw, hope you don't mind me joining. :D
