The world around her doesn't include much. Mostly how she feels at any given time—which, lately, has really been hungry—and whomever is closest she needs. When she'd found something to finally eat, even if it hadn't been much, they'd gotten a quiet puppy.
But only for a little while.
Qilaq, she'd learn to call herself (Sao long gone from whatever memory she'd had, if at all), began to dig around the dark fur she established as her caretaker. Her scent hadn't been familiar but it had been long enough for her to forget her real mother's scent that her only recognition turned out to be her fur. However, if Qilaq could fully comprehend Nemesis' words, she'd really be able to tell this is the woman that gave birth to her. The only problem is she didn't get her fill in milk before she'd been moved into their den and now she struggles to find a swollen enough teat. The one she'd fed from earlier hadn't given her much and now refused anything and in a wave of frustration, she bites down harder.
She shrinks back by the sudden cry and a few seconds later, gives a wail of her own that comes out as more of a pathetic whimper. Feverish and tired, Qilaq doesn't have a lot of energy left to fight her own urges. Every attempt is met with failure since she'd been reunite with her mother and she can't even try to understand why she's being withheld.
When the tone of voices change above her, she swings her head around, but struggles to remain upright and ultimately rolls into Nemesis' belly instead.
