The trek back from Kove and Atshen's had been quiet, as the later of the pair had been sporting the decapitated head of the now-deceased Bramble. The euphoria from the hunt still coursed through his veins and the Spiderling was experiencing heights in his happiness that he had never imagined were possible. Even with Kove's reaction to all that had occurred, Atshen had paid little mind to his snow-pelted father.  With this burst of happiness, the child also had discovered something about himself that he would have never learned otherwise. Though he knew how much he relished the heat of a battle, he had never taken a life before. But in doing this, Atshen had discovered something powerful within himself-- the ability to take something so precious from another and how such power made him feel. He would pay no mind to any scorn that would come about this and instead he would go straight to @Nemesis

Atshen knew that mother would be pleased with his achievement and that he would finally be deemed worthy in her eyes. So it was as the forest came into view Atshen picked up his pace so that he could quickly return to the woods. Once he was at the borders, the child slipped into the shadows, safe from the wretched buffet that the winter winds provided. He found himself carrying himself towards the family den. Once he arrived, Atshen deposited the skull onto the ground, riding his blood stained lips of what they had held onto for so long. Glancing briefly at the head, he examined the damage he had done with a careful eye, admiring his work.

But in his admiration came a constant reminder that he should beckon for mother and eventually he did just that. Lifting his head to the sky, the child spilled an excited cry into the air, urging his dark-haired mother to come to him. Too wrapped up in his excitement, Atshen didn't even bother to check to see if she were in the family den.

He waited in silence for quite some time as anticipate overcame him quickly. Every so often the child would look from the surrounding forest and down towards the prize at his paws as he wondered just where his mother was. As this mind crossed him, he heard the first indication of her arrival, and he lifted his head slowly, meeting his eyes with her nearing form. When she stood before and realized what had been done, she beckoned for him to follow, leading him to a place where they could further discuss his fate.
