Grayday darted forward and grabbed Howl's leg high up on his thigh, doing his best not to hurt the other male while also keeping a tight grip. Although it probably hurt him, there would be no serious damage - just superficial puncture wounds and some light bruising.

Keeping his grip gentle but unyielding, the leader pulled on Howl's leg, hoping the male would turn around and face him instead. If Howl went for Grayday's face, he'd heal. If he went for Pema's, they might soon have two blind wolves in their ranks.
