All Welcome
She was done with the borders for now, happy with the patrol she'd done before her paws turned inwards towards their territory.  Thus far, things had been quiet.  That was nice, but she figured that it couldn't last.  Something would happen, one way or another. Fate just needed time to sort out what kind of wrenches they'd throw at the pack.  It gave her something to ponder as she walked beneath the canopy.  Things were still a little damp there from the previous night's rain given that the sun often didn't make it through the branches.  Eh, would probably dry out by the end of the day if there wasn't a second cloudburst.

Either way, Treason figured she might try to do something that was all amiable or whatever and possibly cross paths with one of the other members of the pack.  Check in, see how things were going, all that nonsense.  That's what she was supposed to do now, wasn't it?  Part of that whole leadership thing.  She'd been keeping pretty busy doing border duties and a tiny bit of attempted recruiting to pay much attention to those who were already here.  Probably best to fix that.  She wasn't sure who she even wanted to run into, so she just picked a direction that seemed to be the destination for multiple scents over multiple days and wandered that way.

The arrival of foreign wolves and them settling down pretty close to the Bearclaw valley had not escaped Nunataq's attention. Nowadays, when she often spent her time outside home, dealing with loneliness in whatever ways her young mind could, very few things around the immediate area skipped her attention.

She had observed the comings and goings of these strangers for a while now, hidden in the yellowing grass, invisible from the rest, but only today did she dare to come closer than before. The myriad of scents that have been left along the borders were very alluring and soon she was standing on the brink of the claimed territory, sniffing intently the fresh marks left by others, analyzing every single detail, and then - without realizing that owner of it was not too far off - she weed all over it, leaving a message of her own.

Made a couple of assumptions, but yeah.. IDK if it would make sense for Treason to notice with how I'd written that post, haha.

By the time she did, Treason was well on her way into the territory.  Maybe she'd run into @Nara, who at least she could tolerate pretty well. She could do her whole checking in to make sure folks were doing ok thing.

Treason would find out what the youth had done later, during the next patrol.  To a certain point she was dumbfounded that someone would be that bold, but she was quick to check to make sure that they hadn't actually been invaded already.  She obliterated the scent, scratching it from existence with disgust before replacing it with her own.  The way it was supposed to be.  But now she knew somewhere they had a particularly aggressive neighbor that they'd have to keep out for.  Aggressively stupid, maybe.

It would take a while for her to piece together why the scent was familiar, but once she did, a not too happy expression crossed the beta's maw.

With this petty crime done and having no shame or scruples about it, Nunataq continued along the borders, nosing through the grass, where other guardians had walked through and having long and in-depth scent analysing sessions, where either a tree or a rock or another particular landmark was checked as a claimed spot. She felt like a person, who is inspecting a stranger's room, going through the wardrobe and drawers, picking up objects to have a better look at them and forming impressions of, what could the owner be like. It was interesting and she got kicks out of the fact that she was doing something that was not quite legal.

Part of the fun would have been meeting these people, who had left their marks here, but in the hour she spent, wandering around Lost Creek Hollow's invisible fence, no one came. And in the end - feeling hungry - she left for home, deciding that she would return her another time and make proper acquaintances.
