@Kavik our Escorting thread! This territory is RIGHT outside Hushed Willows (i checked the game map!

They had decided to leave a few minutes after Ruenna began to lead their wolves to Elysium, for the Yule party they had been invited to. It was exciting for her though she did her level best not to show it. She had never really considered herself to be the type to enjoy large gatherings of strangers but ever since joining Blacktail Deer Plateau she had to admit she had opened up a lot. When kavik had asked her to be his escort she had been even more thrilled though she had accepted it with a calm nod and told him she would be honored. When they left the plateau she had felt a bit of sadness and worry, that Liri couldn't attend and would be left behind with only a few wolves to guard her. Even more she felt worse for Kavik who had to leave Liri behind. She had began the walk in silence, her ears perked and swiveling and nose checking the scents around them every minute or so. She was on alert, serious in her duty as the Alpha's bodyguard and she never strayed far from his side.

Soon the scents of a pack grew too strong to ignore and the trail of their packmates lead toward it, so Minori paused and turned to look at Kavik her eyes swimming with nerves "We're there. I'm a bit nervous and honestly...it feels sort of wrong to be here without Liri and Corvus. Then again I think if the both of them heard me say that they'd be upset that they kept us from having a good time so...how about we try to enjoy ourselves and dedicate the night to them?" she wasn't entirely sure if he had been feeling bad at all, but she felt that maybe even if he hadn't her words would be accepted gratefully.

Most of the journey to Elysium's territory had been made in silence. Kavik wasn't feeling much like talking, and he assumed Minori was deep in concentration, attempting to keep her focus on their surroundings. He had decided that the two leaders shouldn't travel together and should each have an escort. They didn't really have any enemies, but he thought they could never be too careful, especially with they way everyone's luck had been going recently. Ruenna had left first with Issun, and he had left last with Minori, leaving Corvus to watch over his mate.

It felt so wrong to be going to yule without Liri, and it seemed Minori had been feeling the same way. He shrugged a little at her words. I will certainly try my best, he replied a little unconvincingly. He, of course, wouldn't ruin anyone else's fun, but he wasn't sure he could really enjoy himself while Liri was home sick and while Corvus had remained behind to keep an eye on things. Still, he would try; it may just be that he tried while remaining on the outskirts of the action.

She studied him for a moment, noticing the doubt and nodded slowly. She understood, she felt horrible as well but she was also worried that something would go wrong while they were away. She knew Corvus could fight but what if their land was attacked by more than just one wolf? She had the desire to ask to return to the Plateau and help Corvus keep watch but she felt torn between that and making sure Kavik returned safely as well. Sighing softly she looked at the night sky "At least it's a good night....I doubt I'll be interacting much. Not one for...socializing" she said and gave Kavik a playful smile. They all knew how grumpy and anti social she could be at times.

Kavik gave a small, one-sided smile in response to her comment. I figured as much, he replied, knowing she wasn't much for socializing. He normally wasn't either, but he wouldn't say he particularly minded it when it was needed from him. Right now though, the thought of talking to a bunch of other wolves was exhausting, so he would also try to avoid it as much as he could. I'm not up for much socializing tonight either, so I understand, the alpha offered next. They were almost to the celebration now, and the scent of many different wolves was everywhere, causing a knot of anxiety to form in his stomach. He just needed to get through this, and then they could return home.

She smiled faintly as they reached the borders and she stepped over, pausing to allow him to go first now that they were safe. She breathed in the unfamiliar smells, noticing the faint trace of Issun and Ruenna that showed they had arrived safely, which she noted with relief. Turning to Kavik she nodded and took a breath, preparing for the night. "If you want to just make a brief appearance, stay for a short while and then leave don't be afraid to ask. I won't mind leaving." She said bluntly and then motioned for him to go ahead. She would hang back and take a moment to get used to things before making an appearance herself.

Thanks, Minori, he offered, both in gratitude for escorting him and because she was willing to leave early if he wanted to. I'll probably take you up on that offer. He would stay as long as was appropriate and would seek out his packmate to escort him back home when he was was ready. He moved across the borders and with a small sigh, starting to walk towards the others. He could smell his packmates mixed in with the scents of all the other party-goers and decided to seek out Ruenna first and see how she was doing. With a nod to Minori, he padded away, ready to get this over with.
