Throw away thread I have no use for anymore

The conversation with Minori was still fresh on his mind, everything she said, Issuns betrayal along with her lovers. Though who was he kidding, he betrayed her far worse than them but he'd never admit that. No, not until she left Issun for good, plus that she wolf. Unfortunately, one painful statement from Minori kept ringing in his mind.

'We aren't getting back together..'

Higoro held out little hope she didn't truly mean it but his gut told him she did, and his mind took the blatant rejection hard. His blame was like wildfire, spreading fast and far. First Issun, then Takara but it barely touched on himself. Hatred joined the party, bringing sadness and guilt, then some drug called self loathing. It was a mess of a party and it wasn't going to end any time soon. But somewhere within Higoro, laid a good, humble, respectable wolf. Someone who could, just maybe actually win Minori back but it lay dormant. Waiting to be awakened by first light but it was winter in his heart. It wasn't time to wake. Yet.

On to more current matters. Border patrol. A boring daily occurrence, tracing borders time and time again. Not much excitement, and ever since Cry sentenced Higoro to that hell long ago, his anger for the inky male had dwindled. However not by much, there was still anger to be thrown around at the Alpha. Yet, a thanks was in order. The banishment to the outside gave Higoro all the game he could catch, those rabbits breed like -- Well, rabbits. The males weight was back, energy too, and muscle from the constant walking was taking form once more. Finally, he wasn't a weakling anymore, something he was greatly ashamed of admitting but now it didnt matter. His body was firm, stout and lean. Confidence was melting off him like an endless volcanic eruption. He walked with more purpose, he held himself high and had a certain twinge of arrogance to him. An unintended consequence of walking with purpose but Higoro didn't notice. Things were looking up for Higoro, a bright day was ahead of him. Full of delicious game and maybe some exploring of the land that surrounded him.
