She was pregnant.
It was the only explanation for her weight, her moodiness. The urges she held around other women of the pack. Her belly had started growing weeks ago but Parvati thought it was because of her new life within the woods — eating all that she could, growing fat and happy as she supped on exotic food. But it went beyond that.
She was pregnant, and she was afraid.
A part of her wanted to seek out @Maegi for comfort as she was a friend, and Parvati was so accustomed to the affection of women. Yet as she stood at the altar before offerings of decaying meat and worm-riddled bones, she could only think of @Ramsay. This was his doing — theirs, together — and Parvati did not know what to do.
It wouldn't be long before her ripe belly burst with new life; for the first time, she felt so very frightened of this haunted place.
