Sunset Valley Struck by lightning

It was a miracle she was able to find a forest like this one in this valley. She had been going on flat land for a few days and felt just a tad exposed. Now, she felt slightly more protected with the giant trees above her head. In a way, it reminded her of her ridge at home and how it made her feel safe when she was small. Evermore's trot pace was slow, she wasn't in a real rush anywhere except for finding a kill. Her stomach had been telling her all day to eat something or else it would cause a protest in her body.

Upon hearing a grumble, Evermore growled in frustration. "Quiet down you, I'm going to eat something soon." Though, she didn't expect soon to mean in th enext couple of seconds. The sight of a hare running off through the grass and tree roots was enough of a signal for Evermore to leap after it, taking large strides to cover the most ground she could. Snaking her head towards the ground, she skidded to a halt and sent dirt flying everywhere, once she held her hare in a deathlike grip.

Panting and feeling accomplished, the small creature no longer fought against her will and fell limp. "Sukcesh" she said, tasting fresh blood on her tongue. Though she was excited about the meal, the scent of something nearby didn't put her to ease. Something or perhaps someone, was with her inside this forest.
