All Welcome
This place was disgusting.

How had she walked from flat, perfectly good land into such a horrible, reeking place? Her feet stuck in the stinking mud, her fur was caked in the filth and though she drew onward she felt as if she made no progress. Every step was a heaving effort and though she was growing extremely tired, she had not actually gotten anywhere. Soon, she began to pant despite the biting cold of the wet mud in her pelt. It only drew the scent in worse. Now she could taste it. Retching a little, she changed course and sloughed her way toward a down, rotting tree trunk.

It seemed to take her half a lifetime but she soon pulled herself laboriously atop the downed log. It creaked ominously under her weight but it held together as she reclined to her haunches, then down onto her belly, and closed her eyes, working to catch her breath and trying not to think about everything she might be inhaling as she did so.
Babe, there's something wretched about this

26°, currently it is mostly cloudy and set during the afternoon. Located in Rising Sun Valley, fighblight mire | ooc notes: huzzah! I have arrived! | tagging: @Aningan - for reference, Rose will be away from Rusalka for a bit! Getting lost in the mire lmfao

Once again he leaves Rusalkan borders to try and find something to bring back to eat, or even a hidden haven where prey had gathered or perhaps a path of their return to bring back to the pack in hopes to feed more than just himself some scraps. Instead of finding himself South, finding nothing, he found this. The muck and mud that sucked in his paws, with the added dread of his weight sinking him further into the mire. His usually pristine and well-kept fur now stained and caked in wretched mud. The stink sticking to his coat and aggravating him further.

The terrain had snuck up on him, by the time he had found himself in deep shit - he couldn't double back and find his way out again. Every path he would try to find only kept bringing him more muck. Hungry, stuck, frustrated and lost - the knight was beginning to lose his patience. Toes splaying as he tried to get a grip on the land, only to sink in once again once any weight was placed on it, giving him a sluggish movement. Gritting his teeth, a growl rose deep within his chest as snarled at the mire around him, as if it would do him any good.

For now, he was unaware of the companion just a little ways away. Far too busy trying to keep himself moving and find solid ground to be aware of another in this hellish place.
