Ulysses meaty paws carry him along Otter Creek. He trots at a steady pace, hopefully able to make it to the Great Lake in time for sundown. Though the sun is hardly even there due to the gloomy clouds and light trickling of snow falling he, all together, can’t really tell when sundown will be.

The blue tinted wolf now lazily walks along the bank of the creek, stepping to the side to take a few licks of the fresh, ice cold spring water. It seems to truly revive him for he is parched from the long journey so far. Though it still sends chills through even his thick furred body, hard with muscle.

His tongue laps languidly at the lazily rushing water, his haunches resting against the sandy bank. He’s begun to feel something. A feeling akin to not being alone. Let it be a random harmless animal passing by or a blood thirsty bear, he sure feels it.
