@Kingsley had been gone for almost two months now. Reyes had been gone for longer. If she were to find either of them she had to find them herself. She knew better than to rely on pirates to be reliable to her. No matter how much she implemented her code, there were many who slipped through the sieves. The life of pirates was naturally for the lazy and weak, those who leeched off the success of others rather than forge their own destinies. Only a few had the genuine determination to follow her code rather than out of fear of punishment.

If she was to find @Reyes, then she would have to spearpoint the search herself.

Teekon Wilds. The boy had spoken of that place many times in the brief flicker of time that he had attached himself to her crew. She followed the coast north until she saw the gray peaks off in the distance and the large stretches of green beginning to peek out through the snowfall. This might be it.

He didn't have a quest. He didn't have a direction. He had no ties here. He had no family nearby. Artax simply traveled, stopping when he found somebody who was willing to have a chat with him. Not everybody was, of course, but that was just the way things were. It had been over five years since he had last walked into the Teekon Wilds, and much had happened in that time, but he was unlikely to speak of it now.

Jorma was not alone on the coast today, and he approached the other wolf with little caution. He trotted toward her, head level with her own. Not submitting, but not asking for submission either. They were on equal terms out here.

She was surprised to see a wolf so soon into her foray into the Wilds. She raised an eyebrow at the stranger's posture. Do all wolves in this area move towards strangers so boldly? Perhaps she was too used to Tortuga, where wolves avoided her as much as possible and those just beyond their reach cowered in fear of the pirates of Tortuga.

She seemed confused by his approach, and Artax slowed as she spoke. Wouldn't know, he replied, I'm just one of many, after all. Any reason I shouldn't be bold? he asked. It wasn't as though he went into every interaction with another wolf expecting a fight. Sure, he'd experienced a few here and there in his life, but he'd found that most wolves preferred to avoid conflict, not create it. That included himself, which was exactly what he was attempting to do right now. Probably. Unless he changed his mind and decided conflict would be more fun.
