Whitefish River Time heals

Lokie had been inside the den the most of the time since he had been within the Kaistleoki borders. He was very thankful to the leader, and to @Speedy, for allowing him to rest and taking care of him. It was not something he would forget, and he even played with the idea of staying. He would like to repay them, and what better way than to lend his services when he was better?

His sore muscles had healed well, and while his face was healing, too, there were moments of sharp pain that let him know it wasn't done yet. He tried stretching his jaws every day to ease those muscles back into use. After all, he would need them to eat. It wasn't an option, it was necessary. 

He was laying just outside the entrance of the den, enjoying the cool evening air. The setting sun cast tree shadows all around him, but he didn't pay much attention. He was too busy opening and closing his jaw. He had no idea that his best friend was here, as he hadn't left the area of the den.
