The Tangle Fallen Down

After venturing out to the coast from the east, the landscape got more dangerous. Cliff sides were as jagged as the sharp vines creeping over the forest. Angler found himself watching every step of his paw, back feet following the front to a T, else he'd have to retreat to a tree's base to pick out thorns from his pads. The journey was slow but slowly he found himself making his way through. He would follow the wind to the coast, perhaps there he could scurt around the mountains and find the southern edge of Teekon, far from his home. Perhaps he could finally be free to craft new memories for himself.

He picked his head up, he had to switch between his feet and the terrain ahead often, lest he find himself falling down. Up ahead the path took a sharp turn into a straight going cliff face, a dead end. Angler grumbled at the loss of ground. He looked up to see if there was a way to climb up, and he looked down to see if a path lay below.
Another path stuck out below, yet it was far down and it wouldn't be safe to jump at all, but some vines that were duller in spike than the others could be used as an assist. To his left, higher up the rock face he hugged, were overhangs that a limping mountain goat could easily dance across and make way up to a rather stable looking path. This one was not too far up, yet unlike the one on the bottom he could see it ending farther out, with the beginning of another path a jump away.

Angler was at a stand still. He supposed that he could always climb back up or down if he had to back track, but his feet ached, his spirit was draining. He came to a spot clear of the encroaching and choking vines and laid against a rock. He looked up to the gray sky and pondered on what to do.

FEEL FREE TO MISGENDER ANGLER. At a distance he has some more masculine behaviors, at least from his pack's culture, but up close it can be discerned that threes a disparity, if one cares enough to look.
