The sun had set three times since his coupling with the warrior queen. Yet, not once had he convened with the others of this 'army' nor did the giant man really intend too. Vex would tell him when it was time to meet her children, Jarus was of the mind they should be met with first, as they were royalty after all.

No, the dog had not taken his duties lightly. Several hare and and a fawn he had killed for Vex, depositing them at various drop off points and marking nearby as to deter any would-be thieves.

As his woman's man, it was his responsibility to keep her and...his pups, well fed. At one of those drop off points, he scented another. Hot jealousy ripped through his very core when he realised that the individual was male, and not much older than he himself was. Not just that, but he had the smell of whelps all over him. The stink of his wife.

Jarus deposited his most recent catch, a large silver fish of some kind, and paced. Maybe the man would return, and he could tear his throat out and feed his remains to the creek for the fish to have at.
He had some time to calm himself before @Kevalin appeared, resting on a flat rock overlooking the drop off point, just out of sight and downwind of any scent.

Kevalin had known of Vex's new puppet. He'd seen him prancing about carrying gifts for her. He had considered introducing himself as he would surely be seen as an offense to the male. Vex probably hadn't even told him. Let him find out about the man who'd been keeping the pup's from killing each other, sure. He sighed as he head towards the weir. Just a quick fish and a swim was all he needed to help clear his head.

It was not long until the scent he had been looking for appeared in his receptors, carried to him on the gentle breeze.

Well. The man certainly wasn't unattractive by any means. A mismatched, uncommon coat pattern and eyes that reminded Jarus of a cold, unforgiving sea. For a moment, the mountain may have even decided he liked males too, but then he remembered the words of his father.Women are meant for men, just as men are meant for women.

"Hey." His deep voice called out, tongue roaming over his lips. The stranger was pretty, in a strange way. Jarus could pretend he was a woman. Nah.

Kevalin's head popped up comically. "Oh hey!" He hadn't exactly been paying attention, his eyes staring blankly as he zoned out walking almost robotically as his exhausted brain conjured annoying thought after annoying thought. He'd been startled out of his daze.

"So you're Her Majesty's new Beau? That theoretically ranks you higher than me too. Name's Kevalin, what'll I be calling you, your royal Highness?" He said with his easy going sarcasm.
