Her sight came to her in the night; she opened her eyes, and she saw the blurry outline of her mother, and her brothers and sister beside her. Venere jostled them all as she moved to situate herself at a teat; her mother groaned, shifted, then snored once more. Venere could eat. When she finished eating, she promptly fell right back asleep.
