please let @Solaris respond first! did a roll to see what would be in stock today and it looks like elk is on the menu :)

iseul would do her best to guide the viper back across the path she traveled in order to reach the berry meadow. they spoke bits and pieces, but nothing incredibly incriminating or groundbreaking. the haetae didn't mind this at all, to be honest, her sister was always more of the chatterbox than herself.

they would find themselves at the foot of the prairie, meadowlarks calling to others and fluttering about. the grass was shorter on the outer parts and grew taller the more someone or something would traverse inwards. iseul would pause here and let her ears take a listen.

she could hear the bugle of a nearby elk and a few loud grunts. she remembered feeling frightened the last time she heard the call at night, but thankfully, from a stranger, she met while on the way towards the wilds, she learned that it was not a demon but instead an animal that held plenty of meat. she had to swallow the saliva that pooled in her head at the thought.

iseul looks towards solaris. "we should see how many there are in there and pick out the weakest." she thought that this might be the best way to go about the hunt, though she was not opposed to what the other had to suggest.
Iseul is still learning English and will frequently pause to find the right word. This often occurs with an audible 'uh' or 'ah' sound, as well as speaking a bit slower to try and avoid mistakes. Your character is welcome to notice this!

she'd followed at a comfortable distance, drawing close when small talk tossed between them before eventually drifting back again when silence took hold. she appreciated the lack of conversation, for time passed much quicker in the quiet than it did in forced chatter.

eventually they halted, the familiar sound of an elk surrounding the air about them. large game was not her strongest area of expertise, but she'd helped in acquiring several ungulates before, so she knew it not impossible.

her companion gave a suggestion, and she answered with a swift nod of her head. her nose tipped to the sky, the scents of their targets drifting towards the pair of them. "the wind is in our favor, it should be safe to approach from here without startling them."

they'd need to be cautious in their approach, for she'd witnessed one too many times the catastrophe of a poorly lead hunt.

unf i am so sorry for the wait!

she'd nod her head in approval of the plan, wondering if she might be able to see a bit more with her height advantage. however, the last thing she needed to do was poke her head up at the wrong time and have the elk spot her and flee. one more look is given around the area, ensuring that iseul didn't notice any other sharp-toothed animal on the prowl except for her and the viper.

with the sound of only the birds and the elk, the girl would begin their slow descent toward the herd. her pace would be slow in order to ensure she didn't step in any of the hidden holes left by squirrels and gophers of the sort. so long as she and Solaris remained as quiet as they were, the first step of the hunt could be considered a success.

but this was only mild, the next step would be what determines whether this event was successful or not. she could see them through the grass, despite being farther away. and she could certainly smell them too. she'd pause, assuming they'd gotten close enough and would cause a look towards the other woman once again. her eyes shifted between her and the herd, a quiet message.

"do you see any you like?"
