Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: mentions of suicide

the isle had fallen, and perhaps there is no one to blame but iseul for this.

what would adylaide and ulrich think of this, to know that their trusted deputy allowed for the claim to fall? and because of what, the pit of snakes that they once allowed into their home in hopes of having no trouble come of it? iseul wears her shame in a vivid and obvious way, walking through the land that she once dared to call herself a leader of. despite the warm and perhaps cheery weather of a summer day, there is a sullen air that surrounds her.

what leader allows for the downfall? what leader fails to provide for their people, their children? ines and matteo scurried off, and certainly while iseul meant to look for them, she felt as if they had every right to run from her. meant to keep the isle on lockdown until they could take up their own claim, and yet... there is nothing here for them. she has failed them.

the scent has died, herds stay away from the rivers and favor the lakes. perhaps if she was selfish, she'd blame ulrich and colt. ulrich had a hand in allowing colt to enter and stay, and colt had his own responsibilities to keep his gang in line while living here. yet it seemed the only common denominator is iseul in this equation.

it was her lack of confidence and ability to communicate, her fear of conflict, and perhaps her patience that drove the final nail into the coffin. she did not wish to turn the wretched women of colt against her, as she remained outnumbered and faced the threat of ines and matteo being hurt in the process. but perhaps fear is the only thing to fear, not the actions of others. in the end, the lack of action from iseul has allowed for the isle to die with the blood only staining herself.

she lays by the southern tip, shaded by the trees as she watches the isle water run through. and she thinks for a moment if there would be peace in drowning herself.
Iseul is still learning English and will frequently pause to find the right word. This often occurs with an audible 'uh' or 'ah' sound, as well as speaking a bit slower to try and avoid mistakes. Your character is welcome to notice this!

Hope it's alright that I've hopped into this!

Water, water, water—in all her efforts of running down something considerable to tear into, to the tune of her howling stomach, expectedly, Fluke ignored the fledging thirst until it had opted to take flight and leave her panting up quite the storm. While never one too good for a stale puddle here or there, the faintest sound of rushing water had drawn the wolf further with the anticipation of something cool and crisp and clean most importantly. So this was what she did, a brute of a shadow who carried across the shaded landscape until she reached the source of the sound, eagerly, she lowered her head to drink in great gulps that had her throat sore and her stomach heavy and regretful some ten seconds later.

Fluke groaned something woeful only to return to lap at the flowing water once more... until her eyes landed on the sight of another. In her pursuits, she hadn't once considered sizing up the scents floating about. She blinked, head tilted in curiosity at the dull way the lass lay there. "Aye there," she met the stranger with a crass shout lest the waters swallow it up, rough voice grating on already gritty words. "Ye' all good ov'r there?"
