All Welcome
mira was focused on the idea of the moonspear. it consumed her thoughts and she doubted such a great mountain would remain uninhabited forever- even with the impact two years back, its slopes were like a shining trophy. a demonstration of greatness over all the world, to look down on all others.

even with her pride and her ego, mira knew it was not a place one wolf could handle alone. and painstakingly she knew that she had no people to lead; no people to mark her borders or lay down their lives in place of her for the sake of her long legacy. she had once dreamed of eventually ruling a moonspear built of her numerous siblings and cousins, but that idea had long since faded, since after her mother's death she'd lost contact with each of them at some point or another. but she knew it was her mother- hydra- whose bloodline would always deserve that land. unless the mountain was under one of her siblings' order, mira would not be content.

these were the sort of thoughts that consumed her.

in the weeks ahead she knew at some point she would go to the mountain and check to see if there was a border. but for now with her heat she could not dare drift too close to pack lands; there was no need for unnecessary injury.

in the meantime she shamelessly flaunted herself wherever else she wished, beyond pack lands she roamed openly. she knew in the back of her mind that this was a potential route to pregnancy, which weirded her out a little. imagining being all rotund and incapable of her usual tasks. she was glad beyond words that she felt no love for anyone. but the idea of an army she could train to be loyal only to her, danced in her mind. it was a nice idea, maybe... but she refused to let some man come running back later to claim 'his' children or stop her from making them into the soldiers she wanted. perhaps the gift of life did have a benefit she hadn't considered- killers and shields to protect her alone. still, it wasn't the most ideal route, only perhaps the easiest. she hadn't ever tried her hand at recruiting before and maybe there would be promise in that.

the black she-wolf was finishing up a river fish that hadn't been quite her favorite meal of choice, when the gentlest drizzle of rain began to shower from the clouds above. it wasn't enough to severely bother mira and she only moved away from the waterside to take a seat on a nearby tree root that stuck out of the ground, splaying out casually and comfortably and surveying the scenery.
