something wicked calls to ingram.
something outside the wilds he has called home for some time.
he can feel it; temptation incarnate, whispering sweet nothings to him in the thick of night, when he lingers on the bridge between sleep and awake.
it happens again, here, in the heart of the king elk forest. sleep eludes him, teasing him but never fully taking him. the invisible rope is tugging deep in the marrow of his bones.
giving up on sleep, he rises, gathers up his threadbare rabbit pelt of threadbones and departs the wilds.
he would return, he knows.
one day.
