The moment Harlyn had settled against her companion, her gaze went skyward.  The stars were littered across the sky, twinkling subtly like diamonds in the moonlight.  Instantly, she was filled with a sense of calm and contentment, and also of wonder.  Her own family had told plenty of stories of the night sky and of the constellations that lived upon it.  They had always excited her imagination as a child, and even now as an adult, she felt just the same.

Her gaze skipped from star to star as Mordecai spoke, squinting to pay closer attention when he noted one that was a shade more red than the others.  As her eyes stepped across each little dot of light, she actually found a few that might have been the star in question.  Nevertheless, there was a different aspect of his comment that struck her.  "Antares," she repeated softly, "Such a strong name.  It fits."  She smiled faintly, not pulling her eyes away from the sky for even a moment despite how badly her heart wanted for her to set her gaze again upon her handsome companion.

"What else?" she asked innocently, her imagination budding under the circumstances and eagerly looking to him for further direction.  Mordecai was happy to share more, and for a while they simply laid together, swapping stories beneath the stars before curling up against one another to sleep.
