Noah Moyer was a ranging wolfdog who was begrudgingly accepted into a conservative pack during a particularly harsh winter. Despite being ranked an Omega, he caught the eye of and subsequently fell for the youngest daughter of the Alpha pair, Charlotte Thorn. When Charlotte turned up pregnant, her father was furious enough to kill Noah and exile his daughter with his last breath (as he too, died from wounds resulting of the fight) and her mother enforced her mate's dying order.
Charlotte, alone, pregnant, and heart-broken, traveled south until she found a pack hospitable enough to take her in. It was there, in Red View Canyon, that she gave birth to Noah's pups: Boone, Catfish, Babybug, and Sunny; names that Noah had asked for, some of them in jest. Charlotte was sickly thereafter, but very loving and watchful of her children.
Boone was the only one who looked like a dog, an appearance directly inherited from his grandfather on his father's side, and he suffered because of it. Teased and attacked from child- to adulthood, Charlotte did what she could to protect her son, but he quickly had to learn how to defend himself. Many of his scars came from the first two years of his life.
He never left Red View because his mother could not travel from the canyon in her condition, but when she died, he left almost immediately.
