Life was never the same for Cai after her father died. He was the alpha and there were no males to assume his position. She left her birth pack when her mother died and fights broke out over who would be considered the new alpha female. The pack split into three sections: those who thought Rowan and Seth should be the new alpha couple, those who thought Rock and Lieq should be the new alpha couple, and those who thought Ghost and Embry should be the new alpha couple. As the division was being made, Cai decided to leave her birth pack. She was never close to any of her pack members and did not have a mate so the decision was an easy one. She wandered for months until stumbling into the Ryujin territories...
