Appearance
Small-framed wolf cloaked in varying hues of gray. The only color in all this gray are his eyes: a startling blood-orange. Short of stature and lean, with various scars littering his body from altercations through his life. Slim, tapered face that seems to always look tortured in some way.

A beginning and end
A brother, a lover

So much shit happened after this
and I'm not writing it down
Despite being the eldest son of a brutish man, life went on in relative peace for Zamael from birth until the conception of his parents' second litter. Having not sought his pack's--nor his mate's--consent, Arnlith was driven out. Celia chose to follow, and Zamael, along with his sister, Iriante, chose to go, too, out of loyalty to their mother and the unborn pups.
A brother, a lover
Zamael helped raise the children and became especially close to Alarian, the outcast of the litter. They became inseparable, with Zamael serving as a mentor to the boy. Another stroke of fortune came when Zamael met Carvel, a handsome boy from the west. The two were in love at first sight, and the moon they spent together was more blissful than any moon Zamael has seen since.
A tragedy ensues
Like most great love stories, it came to a tragic end. Arnlith, with no tolerance for Zamael's kind of love, attacked his eldest son, severely wounding him. While being tended to by Alarian, Zamael was unaware that Arnlith had murdered Carvel. When Alarian broke this news, Zamael left the next morning, wandering for a while in deep mourning.
A new life
In the wake of his loss, Zamael went to the coast, where he was taken in by a band of seawolves. After many moons with them, he returned to Sunfil Grove, missing his family. What he found there was chaos: Celia, dead. Runion, missing. His younger sister Shaara caring for Celia's incestuous litter with Runion. Most shocking of all--Arnlith was dead, killed by Alarian, now missing. Wolves from tribes with a shared heritage to theirs came and adopted him into the Qucha, the sea witches. They instructed him to find his other siblings, and Zamael was more than happy to do so, setting off west in the hopes that he could be reunited once more with Alarian and Lanawyn.
