Raised well among her people, Ryu was always taught to be a well-mannered and honest soul. Growing up, she took heed to every teaching provided by either guardian or elder. Alongside her kin at birth, Misako and Ryu were a close pair. The two would spar, hunt, and run together, never far from one another’s flank. Life was swell, at least, until the fire.

It was an odd and random occurrence, but a painful one. It was late in the evening as the flames swept through the expanse of topiary. Unaware of what was amiss, Ryu had woken briskly, startled. Misako was nowhere to be seen, nor was her father or mother. A voice she knew was far off - her mother’s, but she could still not see her. Smoke blinded her visuals temporarily. Being only an adolescent, she was fragile and unaware of the action to take.

Many long moments passed before an individual was close by her side. They instructed her a way out of the flames. Once free, Ryu searched vigorously for her kin over a wide span of time. Day by day passed… nothing was found. Her rescuer had remained by her, but could not do so for much longer. Aware of the she-wolf’s despair, there were many needs that the young wolf had. Unfortunately, only one could be filled.

It was two months after the destruction of her home and people. Ryu's new guardian was desperate to set out in search of food and storage for the winter coming. However, he knew he could not keep both himself and his new charge healthy. With this known, he guided her to a land that was claimed by a new people. By this, it was his hope that she would find a place among them. If they accepted her, she would have a home and a family.

Even with a weakened heart, Ryu knew that she would have no future if she continued to dwell. Moving on was the only hope she had. And so, she would. The red warrior would be reborn again, whether with the people of the land before her, or somewhere else.
