Named for the wing-like markings on his back, Butterfly was born to to a single mother in the roving clan known as Caraceol. Such was the tradition, Snowbird had found a suitor in an outsider, a handsome coywolf who's name was not recalled beyond their night of passion. With three young cubs now under her wing, the young mother taught them everything she knew and from a young age Butterfly joined his people in song and dance, bringing joy wherever they travelled. When it was his time to depart, the ceremony was a joyous one, with tears shed from his mother and sister and parting gifts from the clan. Butterfly would journey alongside his other sister Edelweiss for a few months before the duo eventually parted ways and he found his way to the Teekon.
